But, why a fish??? It's a French thing.

In 1508, French poet Eloy d'Amerval referred to a poisson d'avril (April fool, literally "April's fish"), possibly the first reference to the celebration in France.Some writers suggest that April Fools' originated because in the Middle Ages, New Year's Day was celebrated on March 25 in most European towns, with a holiday that in some areas of France, specifically, ended on April 1,and those who celebrated New Year's Eve on January 1 made fun of those who celebrated on other dates by the invention of April Fools' Day. The use of January 1 as New Year's Day became common in France only in the mid-16th century, and that date was not adopted officially until 1564, by the Edict of Roussillon.

(Not) Welcome to Germany!

The border to Germany is closed since mid-January. The tramways from Strasbourg are still going there, but only for some commuters. If you're not commuting for work, many french people working there, and you get caught shopping, German police will fine you 250 euros. Or more.

A few barges near the Gallia university canteen (resto u: restaurant universitaire)/dorm. The barges are actually bars, closed since October.

 A catholic middle school, founded around a 12th century abbey. A school since 1861, formerly a convent, a synagogue, a theatre, a sport hall, a hangar, and a tobacco factory...

Don't want cooking? Well,  all restaurants are closed since October, open only for take away and deliveries.
 Delivery companies take 30% of the food you order from struggling restaurants... Capitalism. I don't use them, I prefer take away or cooking myself. Ubereats and other vultures? NO WAY! My money goes to the few open restaurants. Directly.
