In the year 1740, a weapon maker decided to promote his shop by installing an example of his trade on his house. Now the place is called place de l'homme de fer, or ironman square. The house is now a pharmacy.

Place Gutenberg
Johannes Gutenberg lived in Strasbourg from 1434 until at least 1444, probably in the parish of Saint-Arbogast. It was in Strasbourg in 1440 that he is said to have perfected and revealed the secret of printing through his research. Wikipedia.
The square is named after him, with a statue on the centre.
