AKA hôtel de Klinglin. Historical monument, built between 1732 and 1736 for the royal moneylender François Joseph de Klinglin. Now the residence on the prefect of the département Bas-Rhin.

Place du Marché Gayot
Next to the cathedral, a quiet square with good restaurants. What looks like a stone in the background is actually made of cast iron, a sculpture by Daniel Pontoreau, called Pierre trouvée, found stone, in 1992.
Part of the castrum, roman camp. Strasbourg was founded in the year 12 AC by roman soldiers, 2038 years ago.
