Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

"In 1921, the writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry lived here. Born in 1900, he died for France on July 31, 1944.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry learned to fly during his military service in Strasbourg, at the Neuhof airfield. From that point on, he saw the five continents pass beneath his wings over the course of a glorious aviation career—an experience from which he drew the inspiration for a literary body of work that has rendered him immortal."

12 rue du 22 novembre, Strasbourg.
