Christmas market in black and white

We have in Strasbourg the oldest European Christmas market, every year since 1570. 3 million tourists expected this month... A decoration on one of countless stalls.

At the old city hall, built in 1731, former residence of the counts of Hanau-Lichtenberg. These figures are not the counts mentioned above...:-)

Must be Christmas time

This must be the most decorated house in town, to my knowledge. I had to queue to take this photo yesterday, dozens of phone photographers... I was the only one with an actual camera.

Christmas is coming

The tree was put up yesterday. Once decorated, il will be the tallest Christmas tree in Europe, with its 30 meters. As usual. It will be ready for the opening of the Christmas market, on November 26th.

445 years and counting... 445 ans deja!

Since 1670, we have the yearly chritmas market, one of the biggest in Europe, Chrstkindlsmarik in alsatian. The city center is worth seeing, some very original decorations...
