(Not) Welcome to Germany!

The border to Germany is closed since mid-January. The tramways from Strasbourg are still going there, but only for some commuters. If you're not commuting for work, many french people working there, and you get caught shopping, German police will fine you 250 euros. Or more.

A few barges near the Gallia university canteen (resto u: restaurant universitaire)/dorm. The barges are actually bars, closed since October.

 A catholic middle school, founded around a 12th century abbey. A school since 1861, formerly a convent, a synagogue, a theatre, a sport hall, a hangar, and a tobacco factory...

Some sausage with your tea, vicar?

At an angle in Colmat, 67 km south of Strasbourg. Butcher on one side, tea shop on the other. There is actually a German/polish tea sausage, widely available here, have a look here.

St Lawrence is supposed to have said it, when he was martyred on the grill. Immortalised in stone on our cathedral here in Strasbourg. The pink sandstone  stonework dates back 800 years...
