L'industrie magnifique is the name of a monumental art exhibition all around town, from June 3rd till June 13th. Will show you more as soon as I take the photos. This is called Terre de Ciel, earth of heaven, by Patrick Bastardoz, made of bricks, roof tiles and metal. It's about the tower of Babel. See below...
This year's Gay Pride, Saturday June 12th, 2.30 pm. All about freedom, diversity and equality. Strasbourg was declared a LGBTQ+ freedom zone, by the the new green mayor.
One of the many countries where I'd love to go back to: Malta. Others are: Greece, Turkey, Israel, Tonga, Australia, Norway (in winter: no mosquitoes!), the Marquesa islands, and so on... So many! Anyway, more CDP theme day photos right here.
Build in 1441, restored in 2002, the building is a huge 130 meters long. It helped the city manage it's subsistance policy in terms of combating food shortage and grain speculation. Nowadays, it houses workshops, rehearsal and music studios on the Opéra National du Rhin, Rhine National Opera.
Some exhibition at the Alsatian museum, musée alsacien, exhibition called "Fantasmagorie". The old tollhouse, ancienne douane, now a trendy restaurant, in the background.
The phantasmagoria designates a spectacle of projection of luminous figures animated in the dark, simulating supernatural appearances.
At the market, on a cold winter day... Oh wait: it was this morning... Everybody masked, good! Anyway, more b&w here, as usual
Short explanation... On Fridays, I usually post a b&w photo. Well, I forgot, thought today was Thursday. Therefore, 2 photos today. Coffee needed, 7 or so hours after waking up!
Can't say I understand the meaning of this huge mural at the museum of modern art, but hey: it's good enough for a post! One becomes many, where timbers glow, whatever this means.
