Seen in Iraklio, Crete, a few summers ago. No idea what it was, as the palace was closed. More b&w to enjoy right...here

The French tower
Aka "tour des français". One of the 4 remaining fortification towers, built between 1230 and 1250 AD, to ward of the bad neighbors, French, Germans or others, depending of the year/century.

January CDP theme day: photo of the year
Maybe not my best photo of 2022, but definitely one I love. On a ferry between Greece and Albania, again, watching people watching the sun go down.
Happy new year, everybody! Click here to see more photos of the year past.

The day after
I hope you've had a good Christmas. Just in case of, like me, you ate too much, what about some exercise? Chasing the kitten, the dog... This croatian kitty in Split had a lot of energy!

Wrong place!!!
Father Christmas, aka Santa, Père Noel in French. Oh, you probably think he lives up there, North Pole? Well, you're soooooo wrong!!! When kids in France write to him (and probably some adults as well), the letters don't go to the North Pole. No no no, Santa lives in a much warmer place, due to his age. Right here in Libourne, near Bordeaux:No stamps needed.

Cold
Winter is here. Minus 11 degrees C this morning, with sunshine. Snow and freezing rain expected tomorrow. We may have a white Christmas for the first time in ages... We'll see.

Nachos, quesadilla, tacos!
And not a single burrito in sight... Sigh. One of the very few south or central American restaurants in town.
Ok, quesadilla, come to daddy!

L'épicerie
Nice place for a quick snack in town. With or without a glass of wine. Better sit inside, it's a cold and wet weather.

Must be Christmas time
This must be the most decorated house in town, to my knowledge. I had to queue to take this photo yesterday, dozens of phone photographers... I was the only one with an actual camera.

A beasty Monday Mural bestiary
One of biggest murals in town, a colourful and strange bestiary. I wasn't able to find out who created it. More Monday Murals right...HERE
