I want to ride my... broken bicycle

A new type of vending machine, selling all stuff needed to repair your bike. Useful!

Green drink

At one of the side entrances of the Tiburtina railway station in Rome. Looks almost radioactive.

Wet pants

Not quite sure about advertising one's trade on a rainy day being such a good idea......

El cancrejo

Not many murals in Strasbourg, so, old Barcelona photo once again. El cancrejo = the crab.

As usual, more murals here, every Monday.

I NEED HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Well, I haven't gone anywhere for over 6 months... Which is really bad for a compulsive traveler like me. But... Good news this morning: the Israeli border reopened to tourists. Haven't been there for absolute ages. Culture, food, warmth, beaches, mountains, desert... That's what I need. Maybe in March...

Black and white weekend in paradise

It was on a hot summer day in Venice (aka: the place where I belong... I wish!). Good place for a cool drink: Ristorante Paradiso, near the Biennale Gardens. Want some more b&w? Click here, now!

Salute! Cheers!

Burger, anyone?

No arches on this (in)famous burger joint in the city center! If you really need a good burger, I'd rather advice the place opposite, 4 or 5 guys serve much better food there!

Happy new year, you all! It's the first theme day of 2022: photo of the year. Wanna see more? Click here.

Title inspired by Gabriel Garcia Marquez's "love in the time of cholera"

Spring???

15 degrees C this week... Should be around zero, at the end of December. Never mind, enjoying the very unusual weather, all doors and windows open.

One of a kind

I have seen Christmas decoration most of my life, in about 18-20 countries. Usually, I barely notice them (just more decorations...). But I really like this unusual one!

Waiting for Harry P.

The local Hogwarts school of wizardry, aka lycée des Pontonniers. LOL

Who let the pigs out?

A butcher shop's idea of Christmas... Vegans, look away! Kevin Bacon might love it.

El Barco Latino

One of several floating restaurants, bars, theatres in town. This one is, oh surprise, a tapas bar. Buen provecho, amigos y amigas!

Winter

Winter, but there are still a few leaves to be found. In glasshouses. Winter starts in France at 4.59 PM (16.59), plus 16.49 seconds. I'm enjoying the last 3 hours and 50 minutes of autumn, me! Not counting the seconds.

Empty streets

An old photo. This week, streets are full with tourists, last minute Christmas shoppers succumbing to the thrall of consumerism, kids on holidays... If I need shopping, I do it early.

Strasbourg in black and white

The Petite France area in Strasbourg, seen from the Barrage Vauban. The place I call home, for the moment.    More b&w here
And more reflections right... here

Peekaboo!

One more from Barcelona, Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dali i Domenech himself, having a look around. More Monday Murals here, as usual.

Grey Sunday

A little digital painting today, the small Christmas market in Obernai. Much better than the huge one in Strasbourg, without the massive crowds, hundreds of thousand tourists and locals... Literally: 2.5 million tourists expected in Strasbourg, social distancing impossible. Do they know about Covid???

Fairytale hotel

Weird architecture... I don't know anything about this building, but it seems to be straight out of a fairytale.

No glitter for me!

I am not into glitter, lights, and so on. I prefer this kind of Christmas decoration. Simple.

Senior railway

Nice day out in Obernai, needed to go out of town, cabin fever...I went there by train, using my senior citizen discount railcard for the first time ever. Not this train though.
