City Daily Photo's April theme day: medicine

My first ever brush with intensive care, 14 years ago, as my heart wasn't ticking properly. Fixed, at the Sant Pau hospital in Barcelona.

More photos about this theme here.

August CDP theme day: garden

My favorite type of gardens... No maintenance or TLC needed... Everything I plant dies, except cacti. This is the huge cactus garden on Montjuic hill in Barcelona.

CDP July theme day: climate

Well ok, this is an Imoca 60, a very nice way to go around... the world, if you have the time (and the money) for it. Or a sponsor.
Why this photo??? There is an engine on board, but it is mainly wind powered. There are more and more wind powered cargo ships, some of them gigantic, like the Japanese MOL, the French Canopée, the Swedish Oceanbird, an American whose name I forgot, to quote just a few. There are solar powered ships as well. Wind- and solar power are the future, furthermore as there is no planet B.

More posts and photos about this theme here. And more weekend reflections right... here.

Old street art from my years in Barcelona. Stange mixture, Che Guevara and the god Ganesha...

More Monday Murals at Sami's, right here.

Playa

Another old photo from my ears in sunny Barcelona. I used a free program called Luminance HDR.

Finding the right spot

Always a tough decision, finding the right spot on the beach... Not too far from the water, but close to the beach bar, no bugs, not too crowded... It's a science! As for me, I LOVE desert beaches, where the next neighbor is a vague silhouette at the horizon.

Anyway, click here for more black and white.

Maremagnum, the great sea

Old photo, from my years in Barcelona. Maremagnum is a big shopping mall with cinema on an island in the Port Vell, Barcelona's old port.

Weekend in black and white

No time or energy for a photo walk... Old photo therefore, from the big meeting room of the Consell de Cent in Barcelona. And do not forget to click HERE, for more groovy b&w posts from my friends!

Day 55: last day of the lock down

I want to break free! But very carefully, observing government rules. Nobody wants a second confinement!

Monthly theme day: municipal building

City daily photo's theme day. As I didn't have the time to find something in Strasbourg, here is an old photo, from a past life. The ayuntament, aka Barcelona city hall, during the yearly Merce festivities.
More to see here.
