Lots of rivers, canals here, and lots of boats of any kind, barges and so forth. I even saw a small Australian boat once... LOL

October weather

Place Kleber, Strasbourg's  main square. Named after a local guy who became one of Napoleon Bonaparte's general. He was murdered during Napoleon's Egypt campaign in the year 1800. Big statue of him in the middle of the square, complete with a small sphynx.

Nice town, 65 km south. Birthplace of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, creator of the statue of Liberty, the one in New York (several others around). Btw, the actress Eva Longoria is there right now, filming a food documentary for CNN. She was in Strasbourg as well, for a few days.
