Our 1008 years old cathedral, on one of the last summer days, one week ago. Autumn started with a bang, 3 degrees C this morning, rain the whole week. Getting the warm clothes out.

Octobre rose

Pink October. October is breast cancer awareness month. Many pink events in town. Last Sunday, 11.000 people 'men as well) participated on a fundraising race, all dressed in pink.

Opéra National du Rhin

On top of the building, the muses, Euterpe, Clio, Thalia, Melpomene, Erato and Terpsichore. The opera was built in 1804, destroyed (war) in 1870 and rebuilt 3 years later. A glorious building. To be called a "national" opera is a consecration in France. Gonna watch Lakme, by Léo Delibes, can't wait!
