The place to be
It is very hot, up to 37 degrees C, or 99 F. So, lunch on the riverside is a very good idea! Something light.

Bubble bear
Somewhere in Alsace/Elsass. More beautiful b&w right... here
Even though my first name, Robert, is pronounced Ro-bear in French, this is not a selfie!

Bassin d'Austerlitz
A former port for barges, now a big complex with a cinema, parking lot, restaurants, shopping mall, flats. The towers at the rear are for student housing.

Rain
After almost 2 months without a single raindrop, the weather changed to something more... normal. Yes we had some long expected rain last week.

CDP July theme day: climate
Well ok, this is an Imoca 60, a very nice way to go around... the world, if you have the time (and the money) for it. Or a sponsor.
Why this photo??? There is an engine on board, but it is mainly wind powered. There are more and more wind powered cargo ships, some of them gigantic, like the Japanese MOL, the French Canopée, the Swedish Oceanbird, an American whose name I forgot, to quote just a few. There are solar powered ships as well. Wind- and solar power are the future, furthermore as there is no planet B.
More posts and photos about this theme here. And more weekend reflections right... here.

Angry lion
After almost 2 rainless months, we finally had some small thunderstorms. The lion is thirsty, the lion wants more!

Down by the riverside
Earlier this spring. It's much hotter now! The river running through Strasbourg is called Ill. Not sick, just Ill.

Pont Saint Martin
An old 16th century tannery, now a restaurant since the early 20th century. They serve mainly typical Alsatian food, they a good rating. As for me, it's a bit on the (too) expensive side.
