A useful shop

Somewhere in Italy. I really need the fans, so hot today, 33 degrees already while I write this, 10.25 am on Sunday.

Every summer...

Every summer, the public transport company, CTS, renews kilometres of tramway tracks. The trams are replaced by a bus fleet. Thinking of those workers, with helmet and protective clothes, with almost tropical temperatures we're having...

Grand Rue

The old Strata Superior in roman times, BC. Now fortunately a pedestrian street, no more roman soldiers or carriages, only lots of tourists. Some nice restaurants.

A close shave

I spent a few days in hospital this week, for a 6 hours middle ear surgery. Home now, but I really need a shave... And more coffee. LOL

The Phrygian cap

A metal Phrygian cap that topped the cathedral in 1794, as decided by the anti-clerical revolutionary Strasbourg authorities. Our Lady of Strasbourg was the world's tallest building the with 142 meters.

Zeus

Zeus, the metal horse who rode down the Seine in Paris, at last year's olympic games. In Strasbourg for a few days. Photo taken from far away, as I went there 2 hours before opening... Well, no choice in that matter, I couldn't go back later. No idea why they called it Zeus, probably an acronym.
