The lock keeper's tower

Aka tour de l'éclusier, aka Heinrichsturm, aka tour Henri. One of five 13th century (AD 1230 to 1250) towers protecting Strasbourg. 4 towers remaining, the 5th burned down in 1869. A little more about them here.

Cold feet?

As I'm getting older, cold feet becomes a common occurrence. Specially when seeing the birdies... Wonder if they too have cold feet?
Anyway, we have a big swan colony on the canals and rivers in Strasbourg.

Holidays, anybody?

It's freezing cold here, day temperatures negative, despite of the sun. Traveling back in time and in space, Bassano del Grappa, northern Italy, June 2018, home of the grappa. Or to the early 80 es, in my case... Had a girlfriend there.

Weekend in black and white

Photo taken a few hundert years ago. The clock is/was part of my secret time traveling device. Not a word to anyone, or I shall be obliged to meeting you tomorrow morning at 6 outside the city gate, for a pistol duel. You might want to bring a witness.
