Weekend in black and white

Probably the most famous tree in town! Le platane de la Petite France, a plane tree in it's prime, only 352 years old. A good place to have a drink. During summer, that is, not now, unless of course you are wearing a heated diving suit.
More b&w here.
Friends of b&w, you might have a look at an earlier post, right here

(Not so) Heavenly sounds

Well, not heavenly to me... I really don't like most Christmas muzak!!! With a few exceptions. Definitely nothing I can hear in town. Fortunately (for me anyway), the people in charge took the decision to mute the muzak. GOOD!!!

River fortress...

Strasbourg is a fortress right now. We've had a terrorist attack last year during the Christmas market, a guy killed 5 people. So, the city center, an island in the river Ill, is secured. Thousands of police, army, other guards in town. Most bridges are closed, to enter the center, you have to open your bags and coats. Queuing up to 15 minutes. 3 weeks to go. This is one of the few access points.

A weekend reflection

Well, this is not Strasbourg... I've been going to Venice since the early 80 es, just love the place, it's almost my second home. I speak veneto, the local dialect, and that helps!
Anyway, more weekend reflections from all over the world right...here.

A Monday Mural

A very old photo, from when I was living in Barcelona. I was sometimes going up "north" , to the very south of France. I never stayed in this camping (many nice hotels in Argeles), but I really like what they did here.
