Francis, looking up
I don't go to the cathedral as often as I did once. You might know that France is still in a state of emergency, due do terrorist attacks. At the cathedral, you have now controls, restricted opening times, long to very long queues (tourists!). Last sunday, surprise; no queue!!! So, let's go in! Well, there was a mass, so no going around. Found my old mate (saint) Francis, just standing there, staring at something. What do you see, Francesco???

Child's Play Street, part of 2 recently pedestrianized streets, and decorated by their inhabitants. Very nice job!!!
As usual here, the street's name is in french and alsatian.

Saving the cathedral!
Right. There was that guy making bubbles. Big bubbles, really bis ones. So, I waited, ready to kill any bubble big enough to take the cathedral (in the background) away! Or a kid.

A reflection on changing camera
Unfortunately, I had to buy a new camera, as my old DSRL doesn't recognize RGB (colors red, green and blue) anymore. Boohoo!
So, first trial with my new Panasonic Lumix TZ80. Very happy with it for the moment, despite of a steep learning curve.

Il Galeone Neptune
So, I travelled a bit... Does this ship look familiar? You might have seen it in the 1985 Roman Polanski movie "Pirates". A reproduction from a spanish galleon, you can now visit it in the port of Genova, Italy. 6 euros.

2 minutes...
... before the storm. Well, not much of a downpour, mostly lighting. One of them hit a house on the right side of this photo, smoke, firemen, a little rain, the whole shebang.
Anyway, don't forget to click here to see more of Skywatch Friday!

Little Venice
Half an hour away, the pretty town of Colmar, with a few canals, therefore they called Petite Venise.

More water, Niki!
Welcome back to Paname, Paris! Not wanting to make yet another postcard picture of the Niki de Saint Phalle fountain, (specially as there was no water), I played a bit around. Hope you'll like it.

Yet another Aussie in town ;-)
We have a few kingfishers in the area, but this is most probably the only kookabura in town. He might be from Mooloolaba, who knows?

Insomnia
So last night I couldn't sleep, for some reason unknown to me. Well, I decided to take the first bus to town (5.20AM), had a coffee at the train station, went for a walk. This is the Petite France, just before 6 AM. So peaceful and quiet.
Tired now.
