Red barrel street

Street named after an inn, Zum roten Faesslein, 1636 AD. This is the current name, since 1945, although the name changed 18 times since 1275AD. As a reminder, Strasbourg was founded in the year 8 BC, 2033 years ago by roman soldiers, but people were living here long before. When was your town founded?

Among others names, we have a Preaching Fox street, rue du renard prechant... More about it later.

  2. Apparently Belgrade was renamed Singidunum (which I knew) in 257 BC after it was conquered by the Celts. That said, I need to seek out ofd street names here, but so many are named after war heroes and are not so picturesque.

  3. Stockholm, 1187. But people lived there 6000 years ago.
