Here we go again: it's CDP's monthly theme, this month about libraries.
Well, here is one of mine, the open air free library in the Orangerie park. Take a book or two or five, bring them back (or not), donate your own books... Just feel free!
More library photos here!
This is a enormous outdoor free library that far surpasses any of the Little Free Libraries that dot our city. But, isn't it wonderful that cities throughout the world are participating in this wonderful practice?!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. There are a couple around here but not as large as yours. We all need to read read read.

This is good thing, but it is the only one, in a town of 300.000 people. But we have cheap public libraries, with several million books, magazines, cds, dvds, for between 10 and 25 USD/year
ReplyDeleteThat is a big free library you've got. Plenty to choose from that's for sure when you add in your public libraries. Our library system just expanded country wide so now you can borrow books anywhere outside your county. It takes about 1 or 2 weeks before it arrives at Moville's library and then I have to walk about two minutes to go there and pick it up :)
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a sizable collection!
ReplyDeleteWe have some tiny book exchanges, and many libraries have a free exchange for magazines and paperback books.
ReplyDeleteCool. I showed one of these too. Once you have seen one, you start seeing them all over the place!
ReplyDeleteI love this Rob.. it's probably the biggest outdoor library I've seen. J'adore the free and easy attitude to the borrowing and bringing.
