Rain, finally!

Scorching heat in the south of Europe. Not here, it finally rains. Bliss! Reminded me of a rainy summer holiday week in southern Portugal, with just a little sunshine.

No fireworks in Strasbourg this year on our fete nationale, aka Bastille Day, July 14th. Everything is far too dry. So, here is a shot from 2 years ago, taken from my balcony, 4 km away, cropped.

A former port for barges, now a big complex with a cinema, parking lot, restaurants, shopping mall, flats. The towers at the rear are for student housing.
