A luzzu is a traditional maltese fishing boat. They always have eyes. This might refer to the eye of Horus in ancient Egypt.

Wordplay... To discover the pot of roses (pot aux roses), means accidently finding out the truth, in French. Pot, same word in French and English. But pote means friend, chum, mate. Therefore, he his the friend with roses. Voila.

In French, the name Putin is spelled Poutine. Poutine is the also the name of a yummy French-Canadian dish . Guess what? Some restaurants serving it got hate mails... And many Russian restaurants as well.
