Wochenende in schwarz und weiss

Meaning: weekend in black and white, in German. Why? Because I took this photo in the small town of Eichstätt in Bavaria, half way between Munich and Nuremberg, 2 days ago. I used to live and work there, 30 years ago. One of the 2 Frenchies in town... This is the huge Residenzplatz, siege of the local prince-bishops. Yep, it is an extremely catholic place! And very lively, over 5000 of the 13.000 or so inhabitants are students at the catholic university.

    That is an impressively large house for the Prince-Bishop. I did not know Catholic Bishops had large families needing such living space.
