Right at the end of Corfu airport, the Vlacherna monastery on the Kanoni peninsula. The monks left in 1980, too many tourists probably, and far too noisy. I went there early. When I left, around 10 AM, I counted a dozen tour busses, a few hundreds unmasked Italians... Not good.
I remember one morning while island hopping in Greece and we missed our ferry from Corfu to Pireus. After sulking over breakfast we took a taxi to the airport and flew to Athens in half an hour. When we landed the temperature said 42C.
