The Place du Chateau, or Castle Square. From left to right: a post office, the cathedral, a high school, and last but not least, the former palace of the prince-bishops of Rohan, now hosting not less than 3 museums and an art gallery.
What a fantastic collection of buildings...even on a gray and gloomy day with leafless trees, they are beautiful. That cathedral is magnificent. Those prince-bishops of old knew how to live. I remember reading a quote from either a bishop or the pope in the 7th or 8th century - speaking of the Jesus figure, he said, to the effect, "That Jesus person sure has been good to us!" :) That could be hearsay, of course.
Magnificent architecture!
