Paying to take photos...

A shocking thing to me, having to pay for the right to take photos, specially as a sign forbids it... Anyway, this is St Alexander Nevski orthodox cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria, the town's main attraction (see the photo I posted a few days ago).
Well, I paid (the price of a good meal in a good restaurant), and I didn't regret it.
More info as usual given by Wiki.

  1. What a gorgeous view this is and it's worth paying for if you have to.

  2. Gosh that's the first time I've heard that Rob, I don't think I've ever paid to take a photo.. but as you say it is astoundingly beautiful, I'm so glad you didn't miss the opportunity!

  3. Better to go without a meal and pay for photography rights here instead! Beautiful.
I saw a sign to that effect at the cathedral in Sydney too, but it never stopped me from sneaking photos for free. Mea culpa
