This is an international border

Pedestrian border bridge (bicycles allowed) between Strasbourg, France, and Kehl, Germany, on the river Rhine.  It is situated in a big bi-national park, on both shores. I took this photo in France, but the bikers were in Germany, I guess.  No controls, not even a "you are now leaving..." sign. As Schengen is going fast down the drain, this "freedom" might not last. Unfortunately. When will we see all borders abolished, geographically, and in people's minds, at least in Europe???

  2. Beautiful photo! I think people like borders. Perhaps they provide a sense of order.

  3. Nice looking bridge. That's a good question you bring up and unfortunately I don't know if there's an answer right now. Loss of freedom between counties would be a big loss. There should be more dialog before any changes to the agreement are implemented.

  4. I like the style of the bridge, and the photograph is great.
I think the borders will continue. And living outside EU we ( in Norway) have perhaps a different feel to it.
