Back in town!
Back in town, after a few days in COVID-free Crete (that's what they say anyway). Had an excellent time, apart of the things stolen from my bag by the ground handling crew at Heraklion airport.

Spiridon, the malacologist
Špiro (or Spiridon) Brusina was a croation malacologist (study of mollusks). His statue in on the seafront, in the old town of Zadar. A little more about him here.

When in Rome...
Well, this is not Rome, this is in Pula, Istria, Croatia. One of the many amphitheatres built by Rome, all around the Med. This one is called the Pula Arena, the 6th largest among the 200 or so surviving amphitheatre. More about it here.

Like walking on water
So, I went to Croatia for a week, Istria and Dalmatia. I didn't actually walk on water, I took planes, coaches, trains and a boat. Kept me (almost) dry, albeit sweaty.
